FSSC 22000 Certification
Europe-wide several million people are consuming products consisting of AKO’s ingredients.  We are aware of this responsibility and therefore successfully passed the FSSC 22000 Audit on 17th May 2013, carried out by the independent auditor TÜV NORD. At this stage we were amongst the first 200 German Food Processors and one of the first importers of Spices with processing facilities that can match the high-level requirements of this standard.Actually FSSC 22000 is the strictest standard to ensure food safety within processing, created by representatives of world’s leading food industries, international retailers and the European Committee for Standardization (ISO). In contrast to IFS and BRC, FSSC 22000 is not a private standard but is based on official norms. Leading Food Processors, such as Nestle, Coca Cola, Heinz and Kraft Food prefer FSSC over IFS and BRC.
